The Type 1 "Ho-Ki" was the Japanese attempt to make a fully-tracked armoured personnel carrier, which also doubled as an artillery tractor. A half-track version, the Type 1 "Ho-Ha", was also build.
The design of both began in 1941, however they did not enter mass production until 1944, and were never deployed in significant quantities.
